The magic of “instant” heat We go with high-wattage setups because we need that energy to hit the target before it just vanishes into the sky. Since shortwave radiation hits at a higher frequency, the heat travels further and sinks in deeper. There’s no waiting around for a coil to glow red. The second you flip the switch, it’s happening. Dealing with the elements Outdoor gear takes a beating. Between the humidity and the rain, things can go south quickly. To stop that, we use IP-rated housings and sealed quartz envelopes.
